When we talk about the word, speed, we familiarise it mostly with Bugatti – the car company that has been responsible for churning out various record-breaking numbers. From the Bugatti Veyron EB to the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport – every car is built to win the top speed crown out there.
But, will the 2020 Concept carry on with the same genes as of its big brothers? Let’s find out.

The 2020 Concept car will most likely be using an 8.1 Litre rated W16 Engine, made by Volkswagen themselves. This is a sixteen cylinder piston type engine, outputting almost a 1001 BHP of power, along with 922 lb-feet of torque. It is said to have a highest top speed around 431-460 KMPH (268-286 MPH), which it can reach in just 42.3 seconds.
It can also accelerate 0-100 KMPH in just 2.4 seconds, and 0-300 KMPH in just 16.7 seconds. The fuel absorption though is very much a key here, with 15 MPG (Miles Per Gallon) on the highway, 9.4 MPG as in regular driving.
Bugatti 2020 Will be Fastest Car Ever ?
The current record holder for the fastest car ever on Planet Earth, is the Koenigsegg Agera RS, boasting a recent run clocking in about 284.6 MPH. It has beaten the Hennessey Venom GT as well as Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.
The Agera RS costs around $2 million, comes with a 5-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that gives all its power to the rear wheels. It can also do 0-400 KMPH in just 33.87 seconds.
The Concept of Bugatti 2020, however, is kind of a middle ground here, if it is analysed very carefully. If the car can reach 286 MPH, then there’s no stopping it from making it the fastest car ever.
But it should also be kept in mind, that car makers like Hennessey is coming out with its Venom F5, which is claimed to do 300 MPH, which is just insane. Bugatti will really face a tough competition this time when acquiring the fastest car crown.
When Bugatti first came out with its Veyron EB, the speed of the car really stumped everyone out of their seats. But as time went by, many other competitors entered the market, making it totally clustered and competitive. Companies like Koenigsegg or Hennessey are really giving Bugatti a run for its money.
But that is not to say that the 2020 Concept is a bad car by any means. It’s perfectly the epitome of what you wanted Bugatti to ever be – style with substance. And now with that W16 Engine, it’s now more powerful than ever and will be a favourite among the lovers of Bugatti.
This time, the Bugatti 2020 Concept will leave a mark on the racing world regarding its legacy and frankly, there’s no stopping it. But, apart from that, this is indeed a great time to be alive, to see the supercars fight it out among themselves, just like real men.
