Toyota Avalon is one of those vehicles which have not seen any major design overhaul since 2013. And though Avalon still ranks high in all major midsize car rankings, sales were falling.
So it was necessary for Toyota to launch Avalon with a refreshed design as soon as possible to stay relevant in Sedan segment. And that’s what’s happening now – in form of 2019 Toyota Avalon we’re getting a super exciting sedan from the company. Let’s see what this upcoming Sedan has to offer:
2019 Toyota Avalon Features
2019 Toyota Avalon is based on same TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform which was used for Camry and Prius. It’s sleeker and more angular than the outgoing Avalon, and it’s also wider, longer but lower than its predecessor. Prominent mesh grille with black pattern and headlights with dark borders add to its sporty look.
Other major features include support for Apple CarPlay (first Toyota car to support this), 9-inch infotainment screen and Amazon enabled voice connectivity with Android smartphones. Yes, it lacks support for Android Auto, but this Amazon thing is still a face saver.
2019 Toyota Avalon Rumors
2019 Toyota Avalon is likely to come in 4 different trims: XSE, XLE, Touring and Limited. All these trims (except Touring) are also rumored to get a hybrid version. The car will get a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 8 speed automatic transmission, while the hybrid version of car will come with two electric motors and 2.5-liter 4 cylinder engine.
2019 Toyota Avalon Interior
The spacious cabin of 2019 Toyota Avalon provides enough space to 5 people. There’s plenty of legroom for people sitting in both rows, and the seats are also more comfortable than the seats of its predecessor.
Soft-touch materials give a very premium feel to the interior of this car, and you can choose between leather, aluminium or wooden trims. The center console includes a wireless charger, 3 USB ports and a 12-volt plug. Two USB ports are available for people in rear seat as well.
2019 Toyota Avalon Price
When it comes to price, at $35,000 2019 Toyota Avalon is priced higher than many of its competitors, which include Kia Cadenza, Chevrolet Impala and others. But that’s because it comes with a more powerful engine, better interior features and a futuristic design that’s cooler than the design of its competitors.
2019 Toyota Avalon Release Date
According to company’s official US website, 2019 Avalon is coming this spring, which is not too far. You may be able to test drive it very soon.
