Back in 2016, Aston Martin showcased the DB11. It was the replacement for the hugely popular and critically acclaimed DB9. It was offered in dual variants – one being the 4.0-liter V8 engine from Mercedes, and the other being the V12 5.0 litre, which was made in-house. With such hardware, the DB11 quickly established itself as one of the most performance oriented cars ever. But now, Aston Martin decided to upgrade that engine with an, even more, beefier one. This new version will be from AMR, with more power, better handling, and various other aesthetic upgrades as well.
So, without much talking, let’s jump on the details of the new car from Aston Martin, which is the DB11 AMR.
Aston Martin DB11 AMR Engine And Specifications
The juice of the DB11 AMR will be provided by a twin turbo V12 5.0 litre engine. This is one of the most impressive engines Aston Martin has churned out to this date. The performance, as well the efficiency is just top notch, to say the least. It will be putting out at least 630 BHP of power, and 516 pound-feet of torque.
Apart from that, it can go 0-60 MPH in just 3.7 seconds. That is indeed crazy fast, but still nothing groundbreaking to say the least. The top speed of the car is capped at 208 MPH though, which is still good enough. The car has an automatic transmission, which can be manually changed up to the 8-speed gearbox. The exhaust has a sportier appearance and looks.
Due to this, the car has much sharper handling than you could possibly think of. This will make the driver feel much more secure and connected with the internals of the car. The handling specifications were handled and sharpened by Aston Martin’s chief engineer, Matt Becker.
Aston Martin DB11 AMR Interiors And Features
If we start this section, by saying that the external features and styling all remain the same. There will not be much change in the overall styling of the car. The car is designed to be more wide, low and more mean looking as well. This will show off the aggressiveness of the car as well. There is also glossy black details on the exterior of the car. The exterior and will also have exposed carbon pieces as well. The trim of the car will be finished in a dark colour. Also, the car will come with 20-inch aluminium wheels.
If we focus on the interiors of the car, there hasn’t been a lot that has changed. There is a centre console, which takes care of all of the infotainment, and also various other car controls as well. The seats have monochrome leather and Alcantara inserts. There is also exposed carbon fibre bit on the centre console and doors as well.
The seats are electrically adjustable and are performance driven too. The steering wheel is very much sporty looking. It has options to include a carbon fibre sports steering wheel. There will also be matching paddle shifters for the convenience of the driver. It will also have a matching luggage set if that’s your kind of personal taste.
2019 Aston Martin DB11 AMR Price and Release Date

The DB11 AMR will be the next step towards the betterment of the DB11 family. The car with its upgraded specs, newer technology, and better looks will surely turn some heads around.
The DB11 AMR is very much the only way to make sure that the real racing sports car DNA is still alive inside the team of the Aston Martin factory. We hope that Aston Martin continues to bring out various innovative models like this.
