When it comes to sports cars, few are as recognizable as Aston Martin Vanquish. Sports car enthusiasts recognize it from a distance, thanks to a relatively stable design that company has followed over the course of years.
But now this car series is gonna come to an end, as company has launched the last Vanquish model known as 2018 Vanquish S. Therefore, it makes sense to take a look on what all has been loaded by Aston Martin in its last Vanquish Grand Tourer. Let’s begin:
2018 Aston Martin Vanquish S Features
Features are the weak point of Aston Martin Vanquish S. There’re not a lot of features in this car, and some of the most common ones are notably missing (as you’ll see in the interiors section). However, some security features are certainly present, which include:
- Dynamic stability control
- Anti-lock braking system
- 4 disk brakes
- Emergency brake assist
- Traction control and launch control.
You can get some more features, like sporty seats, cruise control, tyre pressure monitoring etc, but only when you spend extra money and purchase its Volante version (read below to find out).
2018 Aston Martin Vanquish S Engine
The Aston Ford derived 6-liter V12 engine present in Vanquish S gives it the power of 580 bhp with 465 pound-feet of peak torque. With this kind of power it can reach 0-62 mph in 3.5 seconds, and the peak speed of this car is 201 mph. For transmission it has been provided an eight-speed automatic transmission system that delivers “astounding performance and shift speed” in company’s own words. The shifting happens in just 130 milliseconds, according to Aston Martin, which is great if true.
2018 Aston Martin Vanquish S Interiors
There’re two things about the interiors of Vanquish S. First is that these’re interiors of a car that that’s soon going to be expired by the company. Second is that despite the elegant and beautiful interiors there’s not a lot to play with.
Thanks to company’s decades old VH architecture a number of technologies and stuff that you can find in any modern car is just not present in Vanquish S. No adaptive cruise. No blind spot monitoring. No automated emergency braking, and no modern navigation system (you get a 2005-ish Volvo navigation system though).
You just sit in the hand-finished cabin with hourglass-stitching and enjoy your ride without any of these things!
2018 Aston Martin Vanquish S Price
First of all I’d like to tell you that this Grand Tourer is available in two different versions – Vanquish S Coupe and Vanquish S Volante. The price of Vanquish S Coupe begins at £199,950 in Europe and $297,775 in US. The Volante version, on the other hand, costs $315,775 in US.
2018 Aston Martin Vanquish S Release Date
The 2018 Vanquish S is available for purchase since April 2017, so you can get one from your nearest Aston Martin showroom if you want to. However, keep in mind that this is a collector’s item – the last thing in Vanquish series.
